Inspired by both educational theory and the real world, Rachel Anne Wood (RAW) offers education consultancy, bespoke resource design, workshops, innovative training and leadership coaching.
She brings learning to life (for any setting) and ensures optimal engagement and inclusion through a carefully balanced mix of Team-Based Learning, live coaching and plenty of fun-filled activity!
Past, Present and Future
Rachel Wood is a specialist educational practitioner with over 20 years' experience of working in education and development across all sectors and age groups. After starting her career in community and youth development, she became an English and Drama teacher. For the last seven years, she has worked as an advisory teacher for social communication and social, emotional and mental health. Over the years, Rachel has worked with many primary and secondary schools, colleges, universities, charities and commercial organisations.
She is now focusing on further growth of RAW Inspiration Ltd. As well as working towards a PhD at the University of Bradford, Rachel is also continuing to present her work around the world.
Many of Rachel's educational resources have been published online and she co-authored a book with Dr Mark Jamieson in April 2024:

We had the privilege of collaborating with The GreenWing Project on a series of three-day Active Citizenship workshops delivered at three secondary schools in Bradford, Leeds and Rochdale. As members of the project team, we attended and facilitated the workshops and were able to observe the GreenWing Project in action... Mark Jamieson and Rachel Wood were exceptionally skilled at enthusing the pupils, and guiding them through the workshop resources, making the materials accessible and engaging. They made space for pupils to express their ideas and develop their campaigns. We were particularly impressed by how they quickly appreciated the pupils' individual strengths and sought to develop their potential. At the end of the final session several pupils expressed regret that the workshops were over, and a number of them said how much they had enjoyed the sessions and how inspired they were to take forward their active citizenship campaigns... We have been impressed by GreenWing's professionalism and creativity, not to mention the positive impact that their work has had in building pupils' confidence and unlocking their leadership potential.
